Friends of Snuffy, Inc. is a New York State 501c3 charitable organization. This all volunteer group works to improve the lives of pets and stray animals through education programs, grants and direct funding. It focuses on the Central New York State area.

Founded in 2006 by animal lover and music executive Mary Gormley, Friends Of Snuffy has rebuilt the Shandaken dog shelter as well as a dog run, built an excercise yard for pet training and agility courses run by Training Wheels,which is a community outreach program that helps pet owners train their animals.

Friends Of Snuffy also provides direct funding for veterinary care, funds adoption programs for dogs and cats and promotes community volunteer participation.
